The White House Cryptocurrency Summit, which will be hosted by Donald Trump on Friday, is being followed with great curiosity in Bitcoin and altcoins. As anticipation grows in the crypto market ahead of the summit, Trump is expected to launch a US strategic crypto reserve at the event, which will be the first of its kind. While the guest list for the summit, which will be attended by many important names from the cryptocurrency industry and politics, has begun to take shape, it was seen that a notable name was missing. This was Cardano (ADA) founder Charles Hoskinson. Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson was not invited to the White House Crypto Summit on March 7, Unchained reported, citing a White House source with knowledge of the guest list. The Cardano founder’s non-invitation comes despite Trump posting on Truth Social on Sunday in which he announced that ADA would also be part of the crypto reserve. “They're running around town trying to push their own narrative. They're not involved in anything that's going to influence policy and they weren't invited to Friday's summit,” a White House source told Unchained. Hoskinson’s absence is particularly surprising given President Trump’s recent comments, as he was expected to attend the event following Trump’s announcement that ADA would be part of a crypto reserve. “A U.S. Crypto Reserve would elevate this critical industry after years of corrupt attacks by the Biden Administration, which is why my Executive Order on Digital Assets directed the Presidential Working Group to move forward on a Crypto Strategic Reserve that includes XRP, SOL, and ADA,” Trump wrote in a post on Sunday. According to the confirmed guest list, the summit will include “Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse, MicroStrategy Founder Michael Saylor, Bitcoin Magazine CEO David Bailey, Paradigm co-founder Matt Huang, Exodus CEO JP Richardson, Multicoin Capital Managing Partner Kyle Samani, World Liberty Financial (WLFI) co-founder Zach Witkoff, Chainlink co-founder Sergey Nazarov, Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong, Robinhood CEO Vlad Tenev, Kraken CEO Arjun Sethi, Crypto .com CEO Kris Marszalek.” *This is not investment advice.
