The Central Bank of Russia Announced Its New Decision Regarding Bitcoin and Cryptocurrencies!

A new move came from the Central Bank of Russia, where important steps have been taken regarding the use of Bitcoin (BTC) and cryptocurrencies. Accordingly, the Central Bank of Russia will allow trading in cryptocurrency derivatives for qualified investors. The Central Bank of Russia announced that local financial institutions are now allowed to offer cryptocurrency derivatives. With this move, the Central Bank of Russia has opened the way for limited access to cryptocurrency-related financial products, allowing qualified investors to trade in cryptocurrency-related derivatives under strict conditions. The bank stated that these products must be non-deliverable, meaning investors will be exposed to cryptocurrency price movements and cannot be paid with actual cryptocurrency. The Central Bank of Russia stated in its statement that it continues to warn financial institutions and their customers not to invest directly in cryptocurrencies. “Financial institutions may offer qualified investors financial derivatives, securities and digital financial assets whose returns depend on cryptocurrency prices.
