The auction raised a total of 12.31 BTC, or about $1.3 million at current prices. The highest bid was Ulbricht’s last prison ID card, issued just months before his release. It sold for 5.5 BTC (around $600,000). This large transfer was spotted by Lookonchain and confirmed to have been transferred to Ulbricht’s donation wallet by Arkham Intelligence data. Some commentators suggested that this transaction might not have been a genuine donation at all, but a self-transfer from wallets Ulbricht had access to before his arrest in 2013.
