Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino Compares Bitcoin and USDT: "One Will Be Permanent, The Other Will Be Temporary!"

As Tether (USDT) continues to solidify its place as the largest satablecoin, a remarkable Bitcoin statement came from Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino. Comparing Bitcoin and USDT in a recent podcast, Tether CEO said that BTC will last longer than fiat money, while USDT will be temporary. After introducing himself as a Bitcoin maximalist, the Tether CEO argued that all fiat currencies will eventually collapse due to structural flaws and that only Bitcoin will endure. The famous CEO stated that he expects Bitcoin to become the only currency used globally in the future, and that eventually USDT will lose its purpose and USDT will not work either. While USDT is currently the largest stablecoin worldwide with a market cap of $142 billion, Ardoino said he sees USDT as a transitional product designed to help the cryptocurrency gradually transition to a Bitcoin-dominated future. “I expect a financial reset, which will result in the collapse of all national currencies and hyperinflation. As a result, USDT will be completely useless and I believe the world will only use Bitcoin at that point.” Arguing that Bitcoin will be the only globally used currency, Tether CEO also argued in his previous statements that Bitcoin is the only unique and decentralized cryptocurrency among more than 14,000 various cryptocurrencies.
