Despite ongoing efforts in the crypto space for companies to collaborate with the AI sector, the world’s number one artificial intelligence chipmaker Nvidia continues to distance itself from crypto-related projects. Nvidia has unilaterally suspended its collaboration with Arbitrum (ARB), according to Coindesk. Arbitrum was expected to announce a partnership with Nvidia as the exclusive Ethereum partner for Nvidia’s Ignition AI Accelerator program. However, Arbitrum stated that it had planned to be an Ethereum partner in Nvidia's Ignition AI Accelerator program but was stopped by Nvidia at the last moment. The last-minute halt to the anticipated partnership with Arbitrum demonstrates Nvidia’s clear stance against including blockchain projects in its programs, despite expectations of collaboration from the industry, as Nvidia recently explicitly excluded cryptocurrency-related projects from its Inception program. “We received last minute information from Nvidia requesting a pause on the announcement, but they did not provide any details as to why,” an Arbitrum spokesperson told Coindesk. This approach from Nvidia is not new. Nvidia has been cautious about cryptocurrencies since 2018, following the ICO boom, which the company referred to as the “cryptocurrency blues.” While Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang clearly stated in his statements that cryptocurrencies do not add anything useful to society, Nvidia CTO Michael Kagan criticized the crypto sector by saying, “Crypto does not bring anything useful to society.
