Changpeng Zhao Refutes WSJ Fixer Claim For WLFI

Binance founder Changpeng Zhao has clearly refuted the “fixer” claim made by the Wall Street Journal in a recent report relating to World Liberty Financial (WLFI). In his opinion, that article was a hit piece, filled with several misleading and inaccurate statements. Zhao Accused WSJ of Practicing Cunningham’s Law In a May 23 X post, Zhao noted that WSJ has shifted its focus from journalism and is now engaging with Cunningham’s Law with negative intentions. According to Wikipedia, Cunningham’s Law states that the best way to get the right answer on the Internet is not to ask a question but to post the wrong answer. He further criticized how the publication portrayed his alleged involvement with US President Donald Trump-related World Liberty Financial (WLFI). Notably, Eric and Donald Trump Jr. are involved in managing this company. The former Binance CEO claimed that he was made to look like a fixer, particularly for the WLFI team. WSJ gave the impression that Zhao was a key contributor to the introductions and meetings for WLF leaders during foreign trips. This includes a visit to Pakistan that allegedly gave rise to a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with a local official called Mr. Saqib. This was just around the time when WLFI signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) with the Pakistan Crypto Council (PCC). However, Zhao emphasized that he is not a fixer for anyone, as the WLFI team already knew the Pakistani local before that time. He claimed to be meeting Mr. Saqib for the first time. WLFI Seeks Binance Founder’s Industry Expertise In the past, Zhao has met with WLFI founders Zach Witkoff, Zak Folkman, and Chase Hero. A significant part of the meeting focused on how the Trump-backed crypto project can accelerate its international expansion plans. WLFI gleams from Zhao’s industry expertise and advice to build its ecosystem. As WLFI suggests, more such meetings are likely to happen in the future. In April, the Binance founder suspected the possibility that a negative rumour would spring from the meetings. “I have a feeling the traditional media will try to make up some negative story about this,” Zhao wrote on X. Zhao Corrects WSJ on Claims Relating to Justin Sun Generally, CZ has had to correct the narratives being portrayed by WSJ in recent times. On April 11, the media house published a report citing unnamed sources suggesting that Zhao had cooperated with the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) by offering evidence on Sun. To this, Zhao responded , “WSJ is really TRYING here. They seem to have forgotten who went to prison and who didn’t. People who become government witnesses don’t go to prison. They are protected.” The post Changpeng Zhao Refutes WSJ Fixer Claim For WLFI appeared first on TheCoinrise.com .
