Partnership news continues to come in the cryptocurrency industry. The latest news at this point came from Ripple (XRP). Continuing to expand its network, Ripple announced that it has partnered with financial infrastructure provider OpenPayd. Accordingly, Ripple announced that it has partnered with financial infrastructure provider OpenPayd to improve access to fast and compliant cross-border payments on X. With this partnership, OpenPayd will provide support for converting payments made via Ripple into Euros (EUR) and British Pounds (GBP). OpenPayd’s stablecoin infrastructure will also be used in the burning and issuance processes of Ripple’s USD-backed stablecoin RLUSD. OpenPayd will provide direct minting and burning capabilities for Ripple USD (RLUSD). In the official statement, it was stated that with the Ripple and OpenPayd partnership, cross-border payments can be much faster and lower cost.
