Ultra-low-latency trading is coming: Announcing colocation service for institutional and individual clients

Designed for fairness, accessibility , and ultra-fast execution , we are proud to announce the coming debut of colocation services in partnership with Beeks Exchange Cloud ® . This offering, set to go live later this year, represents a major step forward in how we support both institutional and individual clients who demand the very best in trading performance. While many exchanges offer colocation services, we’re doing things differently. We’re opening it up to all partners and clients , not just institutions. That means all of our most active traders can benefit from an enhanced experience, while we maintain our commitment to equal and fair market access , one of the fundamental values that underpins everything we do at Kraken. We’ve spent over a decade building and refining our infrastructure . This new service takes that foundation even further – enhancing performance and scalability, while staying true to our commitment to fair and transparent access to Kraken’s global markets. Our clients will be able to rent cloud compute from Beeks, a leading provider of low-latency infrastructure, directly within our European data center. For those with more specific technical needs, we’ll also offer the ability to install physical hardware and access colocation services directly. Kraken Head of Exchange Shannon Kurtas said, “Kraken has spent over a decade continuously enhancing our infrastructure and technology, and this is the next step in that evolution,” said. “By working with Beeks, we’re facilitating even lower latency, more efficient price discovery and deeper liquidity for all of Kraken’s spot and derivative markets.” Latency improvements will vary depending on client location, but those using Beeks Exchange Cloud® will enjoy the same low-latency experience as clients with physical hardware. Traders in London, for example, can expect sub-millisecond latency – a real game-changer for execution speed.
