Swiss blockchain infrastructure provider Taurus has announced a new confidential token standard for institutions. Taurus, a Swiss digital asset infrastructure provider backed by Deutsche Bank and Credit Suisse, has introduced an open-source confidential token standard for debt and equity tokenization for financial institutions to tokenize financial assets on public blockchains while keeping customer privacy intact. The smart contract is designed in collaboration with the Aztec Foundation to give issuers control over who can see information about tokenized assets without compromising compliance, the Swiss firm said in a press release shared with crypto.news. The tech uses Aztec Network’s layer-2 protocol and zero-knowledge proofs to keep blockchain transactions private. In mid-February, Taurus launched its enterprise-grade custody and tokenization platform, Taurus-CAPITAL, on the Solana blockchain. The move allows banks and financial institutions to store, manage, and issue digital representations of real-world assets like stocks, bonds, or real estate on Solana .
