While Bitcoin and altcoins are going through a difficult period, Glassnode, an on-chain cryptocurrency analysis platform, has published a remarkable report on cryptocurrencies. Accordingly, Glassnode shared about the profitability of altcoins and revealed the striking difference. While popular altcoins XRP and Tron (TRX) continue to generate strong unrealized gains for their investors, the largest altcoins Ethereum (ETH) and Solana (SOL) in particular have seen a sharp decline in investor profitability this year, Glassnode X shared on its account. XRP is in second place, with 81.6% of its total supply still in profit. As a result, 81.6% of the XRP supply and 84.6% of the TRX supply in circulation are worth more than what investors initially paid for them. While TRX and XRP lead the way in profitability, Ethereum and Solana have fallen to the bottom. ETH and SOL have been among the altcoins that have experienced the biggest declines in profitability this year. Only 44.9% of the ETH supply remains in profit, representing a 39.9% decrease since the beginning of the year. Solana is in an even worse situation than Ethereum, as only 31.6% of SOL’s supply is currently in profit, meaning a 46.8% decline since the beginning of the year.
