Veteran market analyst Peter Brandt has projected a relatively conservative price range for XRP by the close of 2025. In a forecast shared on X, Brandt presented two possible year-end valuations for the digital asset, casting doubt on any near-term breakout to new highs. His outlook contrasts with more optimistic assessments recently offered by other analysts. The asset rose over 500% from early November to a multi-year high of $3.39 in early January. The asset closed above $3 for 16 consecutive days and closed January at $3.0354, the highest monthly close in history. However, the asset has since experienced a notable pullback. The decline began in early February due to market uncertainty caused by Trump’s tariff threats . The decline continued in the following months, with the asset reaching a low point of $1.614, over 52% lower than its January peak. XRP has recovered from the dip and shows signs of consolidation, currently trading at $2.08. Brandt’s Bearish Outlook Brandt’s recent chart indicates two possible market capitalizations for XRP by year-end—approximately $116.67 billion or slightly above $60 billion. Based on these valuations, he sees the price settling between $1.98 and $2.00, or closer to $1.02 and $1.07. He had previously identified these same levels during an earlier technical analysis, where he noted a potential head-and-shoulders pattern forming on XRP’s daily chart. In that context, $2 was identified as a major support level, while a breakdown could push XRP toward the $1.07 mark. Brandt spent the early weeks of 2025 sharing bullish predictions for XRP . However, the market has shifted, and his outlook suggests that the asset may either consolidate around current levels or retreat further if key support zones fail to hold. Diverging Views from Other Analysts Despite Brandt’s bearish forecast, other analysts and financial institutions continue to project a far more bullish trajectory for XRP. According to Standard Chartered, XRP is expected to reach $5.50 by the end of 2025, with a longer-term target of $12.50 by 2028 . Even XRP skeptics like Davinci Jeremie have predicted that the digital asset could rise to $24 this year . While Brandt’s analysis presents a cautious outlook, other experts are confident that a price increase is coming soon.
