BloodLoop launched on PC on June 23 through the Epic Games Store. In collaboration with Avalanche and OpenSea, the game also released exclusive digital collectibles. The game revealed that the heroes from the factions, each forged by the mysterious BloodLoop process, merge human blood with exotic matter to unlock extraordinary powers. The game will have three modes: Energy War, Team Deathmatch, and Free-for-All, a solo mode where only the strongest survive. According to BloodLoop, Energy War demands tight coordination to seize and defend power nodes, while Team Deathmatch features a 10-player format focused on direct combat. “I think we are coming to the market with something that’s different from what people have played so far. We are breaking into a genre that is kind of cursed; hero shooters have come and gone a lot in recent times. The company said its blockchain integration is optional, keeping the gameplay separate while offering true digital ownership to Web3 enthusiasts. The team-based combat game disclosed that its blockchain integrations allow users to own cosmetics and mint Avalanche-backed collectibles like the Artist Print skin. The firm also stated that its blockchain titles will help users participate in a secure trading environment, without sacrificing polish, balance, or competitive integrity. BloodLoop also revealed its roadmap through 2025, including new heroes, maps, ranked mode, and controller support. The game came with five playable characters, four maps, and complete in-game loops with skins, crafting, and an in-game economy during launch. In July, the Avalanche-based game plans to release a new character called Titus and a new Skyve City map. BloodLoop will also release a Quest system, a Season Pass, and Daily Streaks for gamers. In September, BloodLoop promised to release a new character named Shaman and a new map called Seraphic Tower. The game will also unlock Auction House, Mastery, and Ranked during the same period. The game will release new maps in December, including the Bahmin Ruin and the 8th Map. According to BloodLoop, there will also be controller support add-ons. The free-to-play hero shooter game has been in development since 2021 and comes with a blockchain component that allows players to claim true ownership of select in-game items. The game secured $4 million worth of seed funding in March 2024. It also previously became one of the top 30 most whitelisted games on Epic Games ‘ digital storefront. Ragnarok Games launches play-to-airdrop tournament The company revealed that the game’s first season will last one month and focus on competition, fairness, and steady progression. The free-to-play hero shooter game’s early access launch also came with a $15,000 play-to-airdrop tournament to reward early players. Ragnarok Games said it included the Seasonal Leaderboard Tournament during the launch to encourage competitive play from the start. The firm revealed that players can join by purchasing a $99.99 pass using the game’s native token, BLS. According to the gaming company, 75% of the revenue from the passes will be directed into the prize pool. While the starting pool is $15,000, Ragnarok Games mentioned it could expand to $130,000 if enough players participate. The Swiss game studio said player rankings are based on matchmaking ratings (MMR), and the top fifth of participants will earn rewards.
