Historically, Bitcoin has experienced declines of 50% to 70% during periods of global stress, such as the COVID-19 market crash or sudden interest rate shocks. According to Bernstein, current market behavior points to increased demand for Bitcoin from more resilient, longer-term capital (likely institutional investors), cushioning its price against deeper losses. “Current price action suggests demand for Bitcoin from more resilient capital,” the note said, framing the digital asset as a maturing component of diversified investment portfolios.
