President Donald Trump, in a pre-recorded video address at the Digital Asset Summit in New York, declared his intention to position the United States as the 'undisputed Bitcoin superpower and crypto capital of the world.' Trump emphasized ending the regulatory war on crypto and Bitcoin initiated by the previous administration, calling for Congress to pass legislation creating simple, common-sense rules for stablecoins and market structure. Trump highlighted the creation of the U.S. Strategic Bitcoin Reserve through an executive order signed on March 6, aiming to maximize the value of government-held assets rather than selling them off at a fraction of their long-term value.
