Cathie Wood, CEO and CIO of Ark Invest and longtime bitcoin ( BTC-USD ) advocate has sold over 36K shares of ARK 21Shares Bitcoin ETF ( BATS: ARKB ), her bitcoin backed exchange traded fund to start off 2025. Wood and her team sold a total of 36,715 shares of ARKB all from her ARK Next Generation Internet ETF ( NYSEARCA: ARKW ). ARKW unloaded 18,239 shares on Friday of last week and another 18,476 shares on Tuesday of this week. Bitcoin currently sits at $95.5K on Wednesday but topped out at $98.9K yesterday when Wood sold her second 18K clip of ARKB and the cryptocurrency also tagged $102.7K back on Friday of last week when ARKW sold its initial 18K shares. Looking to bitcoin and investors will see that the digital token is higher to start off the 2025 year by 2.1% but still trades lower than its all-time high of $108.3K by 12.1% which was recorded back on December 17.
