Sonic, a Solana layer-2 blockchain, has partnered with Galaxy Interactive, a venture investment firm, to unveil a multimillion-dollar fund to advance Web3 gaming and other emerging crypto sectors. The move comes as the crypto industry gets more excited about Artificial intelligence agents. Sonic announced the launch of the G.A.M.E . (Game, AI, Meme, Ecosystem) Fund, which aims to enhance the development of Web3 games, AI Agents, and TikTok Content Creation tools on HyperGrid for the SVM ecosystem. The FUND will give up to $1 million to support each innovative project without limiting the number of accelerator participants. Sonic to bridge traditional Web2 and Web3 gaming worlds While the fund will work with accelerator participants, it will support different voteheads to ensure success. Part of the fund will offer technical and infrastructure support, marketing, and user acquisition support. Additionally, the fund will facilitate integration with Sonic’s TikTok Applayer, which has over two million users. Gomble Games has over 110 million unique users spread in their 230 games globally. In 2023, Gomble Games was the most downloaded mobile game application in South Korea. AI agents to propel Web3 gaming with boundless virtual experiences Sonic SVM founder and CEO Chris Zhu says the future of gaming will depend on high-performance infrastructure, AI, and social connectivity. He believes AI will create the interface between the metaverse and the real world. He further clarified that Sonic will ensure they support teams that are working towards building a boundless, asset-driven gaming experience leveraging AI. There is room for explosive growth in Multimodal AI agents that can work with different social platforms, including TikTok and X.
