While Bitcoin and altcoins experienced a sharp decline yesterday, legendary analyst Peter Brandt made an indirect post regarding the reason for the decline. At this point, Brandt, who shared from the X account, claimed that two important threats could end Bitcoin forever. Stating that these two threats are quantum computing and a coordinated central bank attack, Brandt argued that if these happen, they could end BTC. “I've always argued that two things could kill Bitcoin. The first is a coordinated central bank attack, interfering in every way possible not with the architecture of Bitcoin but with the people who own Bitcoin. The second is quantum computing, which is an existential threat.” Peter Brandt, in this post, made reference to the quantum chip called Willow that Google introduced yesterday, implying that this move by Google triggered the decline in Bitcoin. I have always maintained that two things could put it into bitcoin. The first is a coordinated central bank attack, not at bitcoin architecture, but in interfering in every way possible with people who own bitcoin. The second which is an existential threat is quantum computing. https://t.co/3DgPRvlMkk — Peter Brandt (@PeterLBrandt) December 10, 2024 *This is not investment advice.
