Players push for change in Pokémon TCG Pocket’s showcases

Some Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket players are complaining online over the way community showcases are shown. Fans say the current system is uninspired and doesn’t speak to their aesthetic. Displaying cards and collections has always been a feature of the game. While players can earn Pokémon TCG Pocket Shop Tickets through showcases, most people use them for the fun of looking at other players’ collections. However, some of those players think the system is far from ideal. A Reddit user known as AtomicBlue started the conversation by stating that they thought the showcases wasted so much space. Why aren't community showcase cards like this instead of how they are? by u/atomicblue in PTCGP Players find Pokémon TCG community showcase’s UI underwhelming Atomic Blue shared a mock-up of a revamped showcase feature in which cards and backgrounds were shown together as their owners would see them. Presently, these elements are separate within the game. A background image fits alongside a tiny thumbnail of a card, and some feel that this is underwhelming. The critique ended up on the front page of the r/PTCGP subreddit, with hundreds of upvotes. This shows that an increasing number of players wish the developers, DeNA, would revamp how showcases work. Though Pokémon TCG Pocket has only just launched in late October 2024, this isn’t the first time fans have requested changes to the game. Consequently, its unknown how open DeNA will be to fan suggestions like these. While these features are a great addition, the developers haven’t wasted any time announcing other updates that can keep players glued, including the addition of a trading feature set to roll out by the end of January 2025. However, players who crave change will have to wait and see if DeNA takes the outrage of the showcases seriously. Until then, they can continue to enjoy the new content and features that keep the game churning. Land a High-Paying Web3 Job in 90 Days: The Ultimate Roadmap
