io.net and Injective Partner to Revolutionize Decentralized AI with New Collaboration

io.net has joined forces with Injective to expand innovation in the emerging DeFAI sector by leveraging decentralized resources for machine learning and blockchain integration. Decentralized Internet of GPUs io.net and Injective , the open interoperable smart contracts layer-one blockchain network, have announced that they will partner up to focus on integrating Injective’s iAgent AI framework with io.net’s decentralized GPU compute network. By entering into this partnership, the two aim to improve the intersection of decentralized computing and artificial intelligence. iAgent – an AI agent-based SDK – was launched by Injective back on November 19, 2024, with the purpose of empowering developers to integrate AI-driven functionalities into blockchain operations. This will in turn allow for tasks such as sending payments and executing on-chain trades using large language models (LLMs), such as OpenAI a reality. By bringing together Injective’s advanced AI technology and io.net’s decentralized distributed compute infrastructure which has over 10,000 cluster-ready GPUs and CPUs, this partnership is looking forward to achieving its aim of providing AI practitioners with tools to train, fine-tune, and deploy machine learning models using decentralized resources. In light of this integration, the capabilities of decentralized computing and the computational power available for AI-powered blockchain applications are expected to expand and be better. This partnership will also explore how Injective's iAgent framework can benefit from io.net’s decentralized GPU network and enhance computational abilities for AI developers. On top of that, the two, io.net and Injective will also investigate the potential applications that io.net’s GPU pricing and data feeds can have on on-chain financial products that will be created by Injective in the future. "This collaboration reflects our shared goal of creating practical solutions for developers and engineers. By combining io.net’s decentralized compute infrastructure with Injective’s AI agent frameworks and tools, we aim to address key challenges in the AI and blockchain space by lowering barriers to entry for builders everywhere,” said Tausif Ahmed, Chief Business Development Officer of io.net Supporting the advancement of AI and DeFi via the partnership, Eric Chen, CEO & Co-Founder of Injective Labs had the following to say, “AI using blockchain rails has exploded in recent months and we’re thrilled to see increasing adoption of iAgent bringing AI on-chain. Now having io.net’s support with their decentralized compute platform to serve on-chain AI developer’s needs, can further expand the use cases and innovation in the burgeoning DeFAI sector.” By coming together, the two giants have marked a major step that will see the potential of decentralized AI solutions being realized as it will pave the way for developers to build more efficient AI applications on the blockchain.
