Crypto.com donates $1m to support LA wildfire relief efforts

Crypto.com has announced it will donate $1 million to support relief efforts following the wildfires that have ravaged California. Specifically, Crypto.com, creator of Cronos ( CRO ), will donate $1 million to the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation, the California Fire Foundation, and the Los Angeles Police Foundation. The support is aimed at helping to equip firefighters and first responders in Los Angeles, the exchange announced. According to a press release by Crypto.com, the funds will enable these key departments to acquire the gear and equipment necessary to ensure their safety as they respond to the ongoing wildfires. The donation will also help LA firefighters and police prepare for similar disasters in the future. Donations from the crypto community include a $100,000 pledge from Ripple, which announced it would support relief efforts through World Central Kitchen and GiveDirectly.
