US President Donald Trump continues to work on cryptocurrencies. At this point, one of these efforts was to create a crypto advisory board. At this point, as Trump and his team work to form the crypto advisory board, potential candidates remain a matter of debate. Prominent potential candidates for Trump’s advisory board include Ripple co-founder Brad Garlinghouse, Circle CEO Jeremy Allaire, and Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong. While the names are not fully clear, it has now been claimed that former SEC official William Hinman, known for his 2018 speech about Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH), will be on Trump's crypto advisory board. American journalist Laura Loomer pointed out a contradiction in the political stance of former SEC official William Hinman in her post and said that Trump was trying to take part in the crypto board despite Hinman donating to Biden and Hillary Clinton. Loomer said that President Trump’s promise to support crypto has prompted a series of malicious characters to seek seats on the advisory board, including former SEC official William Hinman. Hinman’s sudden change in stance has divided the crypto community, with some believing that his change in stance could help shape positive policies, while others view him as an opportunist. As you may recall, in 2018, Willam Hinman gave a speech in which he said that Bitcoin and Ethereum were not securities, considering their decentralized structures. https://twitter.com/LauraLoomer/status/1890115086330786170 *This is not investment advice.
