Ethereum ETFs Rise as Interest in Bitcoin ETFs Declines! Is It Bullish? Here Are the Details

Investors are turning to Ethereum (ETH) exchange-traded funds (ETFs), with US-listed spot ETH ETFs recording total net inflows of $393 million this month, according to data from Farside Investors. Ethereum ETFs See $393 Million Inflows as Investors Shift Focus from Bitcoin This marks a seven-fold increase compared to January and reflects the growing bullish sentiment around Ethereum. Meanwhile, Bitcoin (BTC) ETFs have seen a stark contrast, with net outflows of $376 million so far this month. Market data shows that BTC ETFs have seen inflows on just four trading days, compared to ETH ETFs, which have seen outflows on just two days. Ethereum's Pectra Upgrade Increases Bullish Sentiment Analysts attribute this change to Ethereum’s Pectra upgrade, scheduled for April 8, which aims to increase transaction speed, staking mechanics, and overall network efficiency. “ETH has a solid foundation for a resurgence,” said Nick Forster, founder of decentralized options platform Derive.xyz. He pointed to Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin’s push for a 10x increase in Layer 1 gas limits, which could improve application development and security. Additionally, the Ethereum Foundation’s $120 million investment in DeFi projects points to growing institutional interest, particularly through ETHrealize, a startup led by Vivek Raman that aims to integrate traditional finance with Ethereum. Market Outlook: Will ETH Surpass $3K? Despite the rising ETF inflows, the price of ETH has hovered between $2,600 and $2,800 since dropping to $2,000 on some exchanges on Feb. 3. However, traders are increasingly betting on a rally, with Forster noting that the probability of ETH surpassing $3,000 by the end of Q1 has risen to 30% from 28% last week. With the Pectra upgrade, DeFi expansion, and accelerating institutional adoption, investors are turning to ETH ETFs as a key strategic play in the evolving crypto landscape. *This is not investment advice.
