He noted that retail investors are discouraged by the fact that altcoin assets have largely underperformed Bitcoin, with only a few exceptions. Despite the market woes, retail investors continue to trust the institutional outlook. He noted that ETFs and companies have purchased more than 100,000 BTC this year alone, far surpassing the 18,000 BTC mined in the same period.
